I haven't had a bun with sore hocks in a while so I wasn't sure what vets were recommending to put on them. I had raw coconut oil on hand, so I tried that, and my vet said that was fine. She said to try booties if it got worse, but I cannot see my girl going for that. My first bun Charlie had minor sore hocks and we tried putting socks on him. Well, he kicked them off immediately after I put them on, so that was a bust. Her hock isn't looking as red now, so maybe it was just a fluke. I'll keep monitoring it. She's got excellent fur coverage, so that helps. She doesn't go on the tile in our house so it's all rugs, carpets, and fleece mats for her!
