That's a WRAP!
Yesterday was epic: my retirement party truly fed my soul. Many people who were unable to attend chimed in later in Facebook, and I felt celebrated.
I still can't tell you if reality hasn't "hit" yet and that I'll be sad later, or retiring was just a great idea whose time had come.
I felt overwhelmed two summers in a row, and was seriously tied down.
After the wildfire in our Valley May 5, and though we were "spared", I started to envision a life without the Pet Hostel. I'd ask myself, what if I limit boarding to twenty dogs? Then I started thinking that 10 or 12 should be my limit.
Then boom! Two or three boarders seemed plenty, and I lost most interest in grooming. There were some health concerns, which have abated now that my daily work isn't so stressful.
Sorry if you have heard or read all about this before.

Nobody practiced any social distancing, so I hope we're unscathed and Covid-free. I didn't get photos of Mellany (a new kennel owner) and the beautiful cake she made, nor the mini cupcakes that Fran provided.
Of course Fran made everything so easy.
There isn't much else to say about yesterday. Hope your today is great.
Love, Ann
