Yay!
Just sitting in the easy chair celebrating another easy morning.
Little Rocky has gone home after his loving owner's night shift. He was too busy playing with Mica at 7 am to eat his breakfast, but as Montana and I stood chatting, he ate up his kibbles 'n "gravy" (warm tap water) right out out of the bowl in her hand. 🙂👍
There are dozens of tasks I could tackle today, none of them terribly urgent. I have a priority list, in my mind at least, including Christmas gifts to make, packages to assemble and get in the mail, and more cleaning and fixing and downsizing.
I'm saddened and distressed at news from the Middle East. If you have "picked" a side or not, you have to admit it's depressing. I might need to escape the news soon and go back to puttering in my warm kennel building.
I have a working TV out there, and an iPod with tunes (that's the default: it's the "piped in" music for the pets and me), also Audible books or any other music playing from the smart speaker (Alexa). It's my "She Shed" or girl cave, no matter whether the Pet Hostel is going full bore, half mast, or closed completely.
I was asked yesterday at Late Night Shopping (with live music!), "Are you not just as tied down with three to five boarders as fifteen?" Nah, nope, uh uh. The handful of beloved pets that I still see for day care or overnight have owners who have all stated that they will make other arrangements if I need to go somewhere.
Yesterday, the dog and I went for a drive in the new car. I'm getting accustomed to the vehicle and its "navigation" system and features. Now, I do know how to get to Dunster Store and back home, but the more one can teach the "devices", the better. I learn, and the system learns.
In the meantime, the car provides a comfortable ride no matter how fast or how much I learn about the "extras". Mica loves it too.
I was taken aback when I walked into the Dunster Store, and an old friend exclaimed, "Hey! Your gloves match my underwear!!".
It only took a moment for me to deduce that she might buy panties from the same store as I buy many items of clothing: 'Blue Sky Clothing' in Nelson BC, or online. We had a great laugh while singing the praises of the stores and the online shopping. Though I rarely get to Nelson, their shipping is reasonable and there are always bargains.
I told my friend, "I'll never tell how often my own underwear matches my gloves." Oh … I guess I just did. 😊
On that cheery note, I must go get something done.
Hope your day is lovely.
