Actually, the prompt for January 17 (yes, I know I am way behind, but I will continue!) was:
Can you share a positive example of where you've felt loved?
WordPress, Bloganuary
The word "where" is a little odd, and I think the answer is very simple: I have always felt loved. I am very fortunate and privileged, in that respect.
I hope I have given love in return.
This may be my shortest blog post ever, but here is a quote that fits, from a French writer, Victor Hugo, whom I studied at school and regard as one of the greatest of writers and thinkers. He wrote "Les Misérables" and "Hunchback of Notre Dame," and a lot of wonderful poetry, too.
"The supreme happiness of life is the conviction that we are loved; loved for ourselves—say rather, loved in spite of ourselves."
Victor Hugo, Les Misérables
