Yesterday started with wakefulness from 4 am.. I'm not troubled by anything big.

I worry about a few things that I can't write about in my blog. I'm concerned about others' problems, all out of my control.

All I can do is get back to routines. I don't regret retiring, though it's a process (sorry that I repeat myself). There is no reason to hit the floor running at 6 am or 7, and certainly not 4!

Retirement is what I call uncharted territory.

Do you remember that I had to replace a credit card last month? In a moment of inattention and stupidity, I clicked on a link. This resulted in a charge to my card that I was unable to get reversed.

Yesterday, I decided to call the credit card company again to ask a different associate if I could dispute the charge.

I told my dumb story over again, then got transferred to another guy and I had to repeat all of it. He said that, in December, the first person had not closed the account correctly and that there was still some attempts to put charges on the latest old card: there were "tokens" not removed, wtf that means. New fella would send me yet another new card.

You might remember that in Prince George in November, I managed to lose the card I'd had for years.

So the replacement card that I'm waiting for now will be the third one in two months! I used to take some pride in having memorized my card, but at this rate, there's no hope of it, unless I possess the newest card for a long time. 🤦🏼‍♀️

And you can imagine that I've heard the lecture about not clicking on certain kinds of links online so many times now. I tried not to feel demeaned, as those guys at the call centres have a job to do. I guess I need to quit protesting that I'm savvy for a person my age.

Here's an interesting benefit: because I love my Triangle card so much, while I don't have a valid one in hand, I shop less online and everywhere! I'm not a shopaholic, but I do enjoy gaining those bonus points (and it is free stuff when my credit card is paid off every month).

It's Wednesday, mid week again. Maybe my ducks don't even need to be found or in a row.

I've been setting up a little office in one of the 8' x 8' dog runs in my kennel building. Actually, I took the gate and two panels right out and moved them to the house/yard in town.

Gary says, "Well, that won't work as a dog run, as you only have three sides…". Okay, let's not sweat the small stuff. Not only would I be able to find another panel when I want it, but one side could be against a building.

Rarely can anyone tell me that I "can't" do this or that, or "It's not gonna work…". I will usually find a way: with little stuff or big.

And the new office corner is pleasant as can be. My dear husband pretended to be alarmed, or quasi-impressed, "Oh, man, this is nice … are you planning to move out here?" 😉👍
