I'm as surprised as could be that I didn't start today's post yesterday, but here I am. And I'm astonished that another week has flown by.
Yesterday was pleasant and not as hectic as I'd thought it would be.
Skidboot arrived on time and we always have a nice visit. "We" meaning the dogs Mica and Skidboot, Birgit and I and sometimes Gary.
The most handsome service dog in my world.
They adore each other and are panting because they played hard.
After a quick lunch of donairs that I'd brought home from Prince George, I raced into town to clean the vacation house. Montana, our treasured RN friend, was checking out, and had already done almost everything.
Less than an hour after she and I left, a doctor checked in. Whew 😅, that was scheduling too close for me, though it is nice when I can accommodate the most health professionals without accidentally overbooking.
I've blocked off a period of time when Susan and family are visiting in March, and also Beth, Mike and Juno. It feels priceless to have a large, private space available for family, and that's a benefit I didn't even think of when I built the house.
Sometime this spring, I also want to book a bit of time for minor repairs and deep cleaning.

About 5 pm yesterday, Zev called and asked if we were free to join them at 6 for smorg. I said "yes!" for Gary and myself, then laughed as I finished throwing together a chicken broccoli alfredo casserole and throwing it in the fridge.
Yes, the casserole isn't the usual Chinese-ish style supper I usually plan for Friday nights at home, but certain things needed to be eaten up.
(Guess what's up for supper tonight?)
Of course the visit with Sharon and Zev was lovely. I went home feeling sad because my husband seemed surly toward me, but that's 'nuff said in this blog. We all had the smorgasbord and it was awesome.
Even wine at dinner and jello for dessert, seem special on nights like that.
Today, I have a bit of Epicure to deliver (from my online "party") and will swing by the grocery store and recycling bins. That's about all that is planned, and I'll figure out the rest as I go. Might finally plant some flower seeds.
Hope your day is lovely, with flowers, wine, jello, or whatever floats your boat, and no surliness from loved ones or anyone.
Love and gratitude for you just being here …
~ Ann
