Answer, is a song that reflects the main character, Rei Kiriyama's, journey to find his true voice and his place in the world. Rei is a professional Shogi player who lost his family in a tragic accident and struggles with loneliness and depression. He moves to Tokyo and lives by himself, until he meets the Kawamoto sisters, who welcome him into their warm and loving family. Through his interactions with them and other people, he gradually learns to open up and express his feelings.
March Comes in Like a Lion's introduction song, Answer is one of the first anime intro songs that I added to a playlist that I would listen to on the day-to-day, even though I do not understand the words. The melody and rhythm of the song soothe me and boost my mood. Bump of Chicken, a popular Japanese rock band, performs both the opening and ending themes for the first season of the anime.
