Last month as a pleasant surprise. Weight-wise, that is.
I didn't get as much exercise in as I had hoped. And I didn't get to bed earlier enough on a consistent basis.
But I still managed to lose 2.7lbs off my average weight for the month. So, I was down to 206.5lbs. With a high of 209.2lbs and a low of 204.6lbs.
Was it following the Glucose Goddess recommendations? I think they helped. Or is it the placebo effect? It's still too early to say.
I wasn't following it religiously, but more often than not. It's easy to follow.
As a reminder, the four hacks are:
- Have a savoury breakfast. I prefer savoury to sweet, so it's a no-brainer for me.
- Take a tablespoon of vinegar in a glass of water or eat pickles. I go for the eating pickles. Again, pretty easy for me to do.
- Eat vegetables first at big meal. This one is a little trickier, depending on the meal. But it usually is easy to do.
- Exercise for 10 minutes after one meal. This is the one that I do the least. And it can be just going for a walk. I've got to do better with it.
I'm still doing a little time restricted eating by not having my first meal until around noon. But maybe I'll throw in a full day's fast in March.
Deb forwarded a photo of me from a couple of years ago. When I was in full fasting mode. It's a good reminder/incentive to stay focused.
I will get there. It's a matter of when.
But I still want to keep the process simple. So, I'll continue doing the 4 hacks. And try to get my bedtime back in sync.
