The island of Taiwan has a wide range of topography so it is home to many wildlife species. There are more than 120 species of mammals and over 650 species of birds. Many lovely butterflies flitter about.
While Taiwan has no official national animals the Sun Bear is a symbol of the country.
The Taiwan Blue Magpie is looked at as the unofficial national bird symbol.
