It still hasn't hit me that Burn is over. It's been less than a week since we closed.
And I'll be seeing some of my Burn comrades tomorrow at the Player's Guild AGM.
Not enough time has passed to miss it yet.
It also helps to be involved with another show.
I got cast in the Peninsula Player's production of The Game's Afoot. We had our first read through this week.
Rehearsals won't start until September, but I'll be looking at my script over the summer.
One of the lessons from Burn was to get those lines learned as soon as possible!
I'll miss my Burn friends, though.
That's the joys and pains of being in a show. You spend lots of time with folks and build bonds.
And then the show ends.
It's weird.
You don't interact with each other every day or every second day.
Usually, the bonds remain. You just don't see each other as much.
And with the new show, new bonds and relationships will be created.
There are some old friends in The Game's Afoot. Some newer friends, as well. And some soon-to-be friends.
Looking forward to raising another curtain in the Fall!
