Do I ever like making something useful from something unwanted or under-used.
For $1, I bought this small parts cabinet. With a couple of hours worth of minor effort, some rust remover and spray paint: voilá!
When Gary saw the original filthy item in Facebook Buy & Sell, he thought, "That looks like something Ann would buy."
He chuckled when I showed him the photo about a minute later on my iPad: "Look what I spoke for!" 😀
Here's an update on the 100-year-old chair:
I stuck the canvas together with house paint, discarded the cushion, then sanded and stained the wood. I put a layer of faux leather on the rough front edge.
It's comfortable!
Since this photo was taken, I purchased dark olive green shoe polish and applied that to the leather arms.
Of course today, I'm going back to gardening. For years, I couldn't catch up with the work of my treasured pet business in order to catch up with most other stuff.
And for decades I wanted a bit more time away from home; now I want to just be home. At least, for the most part.

I've been chatting with you and drinking coffee, now "proofreading" my own blog post.
I obtained better painkillers for my shoulder last night … now I'm ready for more digging! But because I'm more or less an adult now, I'll try not to overdo it.
I have some goals to meet before holidays!
Love, Ann
