Omg! Remember that I found photos of Old Faithful showing that I visited where Dad and Myrtle were decades ago?
I found a photo of Crater Lake, Oregon among Myrtle's possessions. In 2017, I detoured to Crater Lake because a young friend told me that I must see it.
I was hurrying to California to witness the birth of Linden. I don't know why I thought driving was easier than getting on a plane. 🤷🏼♀️ But I made it in time for the birth, and saw some wonderful sights on the way.
This morning I was dressed and out the door at 6. I did some tasks in the kennel building: there are still four cats and sometimes another pet or two. There's always dust and fur to control, sometimes the floors need mopping. It's also where we do our laundry, and now I have an office space out there. So there's all kinds of foot traffic daily.
I just keep the music on 24/7 and enjoy the space and animals. Still.
Today I had intended to start digging in the flower beds but got caught up in the sorting of photos. It is still emotional and exhausting.
I have started a "Mail to …" box. I'm going to send photos back to the appropriate families, keeping just a few copies/mementos. The pictures will almost invariably be duplicates of what people already have, but I will not be "binning" them.
Sorry that I'm repeating myself in this blog. 🤷🏼♀️

Breakfast today will be Eggs Benedict.
Take care, everyone! Will maybe chat later. I wrote all about yesterday… yesterday. So there ya go.
Love, Ann
