Mid week! How fast the days fly by.
I'm still working on my photo sorting. At the same time as this activity has tugged at my heart, I'm still enthused.
Some people might think this is "going backward", to take photos out of albums and sort them into boxes. But you haven't seen the tattered and yellowed pages and cheap vinyl binders I've thrown out!
I guess if at some date I regret this entire project, new albums could be bought and filled. It's not likely to happen in my lifetime, but perhaps my progeny/heirs will have a different plan.
I feel this just looks nicer than the binders.
We can still sit together on the couch to look at photos.
The bookcase was my grandfather's.

Another big change around here… Gary and I started talking about moving the one huge kennel in the front yard.
He was astounded that I decided quickly that I was ready to remove it altogether. It sold within minutes. ππ
I sold all the adjoining runs last fall. I felt like I could not bear to let the last large one leave the front yard. It was like a monument! A testimonial to my career, and more than thirty years on this property.
Within a few minutes of the start of the discussion, I decided I didn't need to keep it. It had been in use twice since announcing my retirement in November: once for our Mica and once for an emergency intake (I'd said, "I'm not home, but you may put him in the kennel out front.")
Never mind that this is the dog run that I worked so hard to build trellis over only a month or so ago. I blogged about it and was quite excited. However, this monolith, complete with trellis, is almost unsightly to anyone but me. Pfft. Gone, as long as the deal goes through this weekend.
Gary and I will work together to disassemble the kennel for the happy new owner. πΎππΎ
