Located on a working hill farm, these cottages were converted from traditional farm byres more than 50 years ago and have recently undergone refurbishment to offer a modern and comforting ambience. The farm is home to sheep, horses, and various bird species, providing children the opportunity to engage by feeding the animals in the yard.
Heather Cottage
One of the largest cottages at Long Byres, Heather Cottage features expansive views of Talkin Head Farm and the surrounding countryside. It includes a spacious open-plan kitchen/dining area and living room with access to a wooden balcony. The cottage offers one master bedroom downstairs with an en-suite and two family rooms upstairs with bunk beds. Private access to the shared garden enhances the outdoor experience.

Bracken Cottage & Bramble Cottage
These charming two-bedroom cottages are centrally located within Long Byres, offering beautiful garden and countryside views. They include one double bedroom, one twin bedroom, and a family bathroom. The upstairs features a comfortable open-plan kitchen, diner, and living room area.
Ash Cottage & Alder Cottage
Both Ash Cottage and Alder Cottage are cosy one-bedroom properties perfect for individuals or couples. Situated in the heart of Long Byres with fantastic hill views, they offer a comfortable kitchen/living area, one double bedroom, and a bathroom. Note: These cottages include steep stairs.
