Wheee! We're off.

I might miss a day of blogging or two. I know you're just happy for us.
Yesterday morning was "routine" and then the afternoon was unusual.
After lunch, Gary and I heard the ambulance go by our place, with sirens.
About a half hour later, a friend phoned asking me if I could take in a mutual friend's dog, because the paramedics were resuscitating that fellow. He was working there … and had been stung by a bee or wasp!
Are you with me so far?
I immediately said yes and asked if I could pick up the pup, but a ride had already been arranged.
I was nervous first of all that this friend would die. The guy's wife is in Prince George getting chemotherapy: they already have a frightening situation!
At any rate, three hours after being unresponsive and blue, this guy was at our door to pick up his little dog.
The puppy had been theirs for less than a week, but she recognized her owner immediately, her tail wagging!
I was blinking away the tears with relief, surprise, emotion.
Shelly is watching over this place while we are "vacationing".
Hope your day is lovely.
