Dilston House in Goathland, North Yorkshire, provides a wonderful self-catering accommodation in a beautiful location, ideal for escaping the hustle and bustle of modern life. Situated in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, this spacious holiday house offers a getaway surrounded by stunning natural scenery, making it a perfect base for both relaxation and exploration.

The house comfortably accommodates up to six guests and welcomes well-behaved pets, up to two, with owner approval. Inside, guests will find a fully equipped kitchen featuring an electric cooker, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, toaster, and sandwich toaster. The kitchen also includes a small breakfast bar and adjoins a large dining room, providing ample space for meals and gatherings.

The lounge is designed for comfort, complete with cosy furnishings and a multi-fuel stove. For entertainment, the lounge is equipped with Sky digital TV, a video player, and a DVD player, offering various options for unwinding after a day of exploring the local area.

Upstairs, the accommodation includes a large double bedroom and two smaller twin rooms, each thoughtfully provided with its own washbasin for added convenience. The bathroom features a bathtub and a separate shower, while an additional toilet room provides extra convenience for guests. Bed linen and towels are provided at no extra cost, ensuring a comfortable and hassle-free stay.

Outside, Dilston House boasts a spacious rear garden with picnic benches, providing plenty of open space for guests to enjoy the fresh air and the serene surroundings. Smaller gardens at the front and side of the house add to the charm, offering further areas to relax and take in the natural beauty of the location.

Practical amenities at the property include oil central heating and hot water, ensuring a warm and comfortable environment throughout your stay. There is also parking available for two cars. Electricity usage is charged based on meter readings taken at the beginning and end of your stay, allowing guests to only pay for what they use.

Goathland is a fantastic starting point for exploring the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and its many attractions. Just 9 miles away, guests can visit the historic fishing town of Whitby, known for its rich history and iconic landmarks. Whitby is famously associated with Bram Stoker's "Dracula" and is home to the striking Whitby Abbey and the historic 199 Steps. The town's harbour often welcomes impressive tall ships such as HM Bark Endeavour and the Grand Turk, celebrating Whitby's maritime heritage and its connection to the legendary seafarer, Captain James Cook
