Hi, Friday.
This morning I will take in another couple of boarding dogs. I'll be picking one up too, from the town (we live just 3 miles away).
There are folks coming to buy garlic before the McBride Farmers Market: who knows if I can get there myself.

I was talking about going to the "dump" with garbage, recyclables and swap shed goodies, but Gary reminded me that I had just made an appointment for my truck, for next week, for a diagnosis. It sounds perhaps like a wheel bearing is failing.
So, though I'm no mechanic, I should be afraid to drive it while it makes ominous sounds. I could be in trouble or make a situation worse! 🤞
By yesterday afternoon I was just wasted (feeling sick and exhausted) but have accomplished a lot in my building, my girl cave, my "she shed".
I have not tidied enough yet, but am better acquainted with my collections/possessions. And I feel like I've learned a little restraint: "No!" to more furniture even if it's free or is good storage. Get rid of stuff instead of gathering storage!
Yesterday I met a couple whose house had burned down in the Jasper fires early this month. The man said that this had a silver lining: he was "a bit of a hoarder" and now everything was gone. He didn't seem sad, but noted that much of his energy was needed making plans for the future and using insurance money wisely.
At any rate, I certainly don't want a fire. I will get my possessions under control before they own me.
And hell's bells … something happened with my credit card again!
The day I took the gang to Kamloops, I paid for parking at the airport and hung out with my loved ones for awhile.
There were posters all over the parking lot regarding how to pay by phone. Later, when I tried to use my card, it was declined. I called the card company, they said that there was a suspicious charge from an "unknown" location for $4 … and I explained that I was away from home and had paid for parking.
So they took the block off the credit card on Monday. Then yesterday, there was a mystery charge to my card and a notification in my email. It was the same name as what I thought was the "parking" charge.
Instead of just flagging that fraudulent source, they cancelled my card. It could have been worse. The two charges amounted to less than $20 and were associated with a video gaming site.
But damn it! Now I need to change all the automatic payments and such again. There's a lot of scamming happening these days.
Hope your day is awesome.
~ Ann
