A few years ago I was traveling to the Midwest to see my Son and his family.
I had a slow start on the morning I had left, so I hadn't eaten any breakfast. That was ok because I don't really feel hungry until I'm awake. I figured I'd get something to eat at the airport. Once I got to the airport I still wasn't hungry and by the time I was on the plane and in the air I remembered I hadn't ordered a meal so all I had to eat was a pack of cookies ( they're actually pretty good ) and some pretzels.
Ugh. Not very appetizing.
So by the time I landed and got my baggage and met my son in the pickup loop I was STARVING.
I didn't care where we stopped for a meal, I didn't care how much it cost. I was so hungry!
We stopped for lunch and the tab was around $30.00 (US) for the both of us.
I couldn't believe it cost that much.
WOW, you might be thinking, Anita must be a massive cheapskate if she thinks $30.00 is an expensive meal!
I do actually because my son and I stopped at a McDonalds and I am sorry but that is an expensive meal given that we stopped at a fast food burger joint.
On the other hand, even though I will always feel it was over priced, I have to admit-
