Happy - 09/23/2024 Today my dog, HAPPY, died. He was a welcome wagon, and an ambassador for pet adoption. People who weren't sure about dogs met Happy and instantly wanted a dog just like him. He loved kids and made regular visits to my gym for sparkle camp and was often requested for birthday parties! He welcomed all his dog siblings one by one and accepted them and taught them the ropes. When visitors came to our house he made sure to sleep with them in the guest room. If he'd had a mom who wasn't so busy he most definitely could've be an agility champion, a therapy dog AND most definitely a dog actor. He should've been famous. He was extra fast, jumped so high & loved to fetch and race his brother Friday. Grandpa was his favorite person. He slept with his head on my pillow every night. We took lots of trips to BSR Wakepark and he loved our long walks around the lake chasing grasshoppers. He was almost 12 and twelve years wasn't long enough. Our house is actually a little quiet tonight which is saying a lot. Hopefully his favorite dogs and people, who are already in Heaven, are there to greet him today. The first pic is the day I met Happy. May 2, 2013. I loved him before I even met him. He was being posted on the Ft. Bend Animal Control page and I tried to help find him a home. The day after I met him I found out he had Parvo. I knew he would die in the shelter so I adopted him anyway and immediately took the 5 week journey to get him well. He toughed it out because the nurses kept telling him…"You're going to have the BEST life Happy! You have to get better!!!" The second pic is the day he got out of the hospital after surviving Parvo. I think his life was pretty good most of the time. If you met Happy I hope he made you smile. Thank you to my Dogsitter Andrea Kamashian for loving and caring for him. Kelsey for loving him at the shelter. Get pet insurance if you don't have it. Please adopt, foster, share, volunteer. I wish dogs lived forever. 💔🌈😢 This is just 1000 of the 20,000 pics I probably have of him. 😢
