Mount Amelia, Ingoldisthorpe, King's Lynn, Norfolk

Mount Amelia, also known as Ingoldisthorpe Hall and Cottages, offers award-winning, large group self-catering accommodation on the stunning North Norfolk Coast. This historic estate provides a perfect base for exploring the rich heritage, natural beauty, and local attractions of the area, while offering a luxurious and comfortable place to relax with family or friends.

Ingoldisthorpe Hall is the crown jewel of the estate, a spacious and elegantly furnished property that provides everything needed for a memorable holiday. With nine beautifully appointed bedrooms, including some with grand four-poster beds, this 'home away from home' can comfortably accommodate large families or groups. The house features two large interconnecting sitting rooms, ideal for socialising, as well as a well-equipped kitchen where guests can prepare delicious meals to be enjoyed in the grand dining room. After a day exploring the coast, visitors can unwind in the TV and games room or take time to relax in the hot tub under the stars.

The Folly, originally built in 1745 as a cottage and stables, offers a unique stay with its towers and castellations added in 1820. The open-plan kitchen and dining area comfortably accommodates up to nine people, while the double-height sitting room is adorned with artwork and a smart TV. Original features such as exposed beams add charm to this distinctive property. The Folly overlooks the picturesque sunken garden, 'The Dell,' which includes an oval pool and grotto, with views extending out towards the sea at Snettisham. Outside, guests can enjoy a private walled garden complete with dining tables, a barbecue, and a hot tub. A second garden features a trampoline, table tennis, and an outdoor fireplace, making it a perfect spot for outdoor fun. The accommodation includes a master bedroom with a king-size bed and ensuite, the Tower Room with a double bed, and two ground-floor bedrooms (a double and a triple) served by a shared bathroom.

In addition to the Hall and Folly, the estate offers three other dog-friendly cottages, ideal for smaller groups:

Ivy Cottage offers comfortable and charming accommodation for up to four adults and two children under 16. This cottage is also dog-friendly, with space for one pet.

Groom's Cottage is another dog-friendly option, providing accommodation for four adults with room for an additional guest. It welcomes up to two pets.

Gardener's Cottage offers a luxurious self-catering experience, accommodating up to four guests. It, too, is dog-friendly, with space for two pets.

During a stay at Mount Amelia, guests have a wealth of local attractions to enjoy. Relax on the sandy beaches of Brancaster and Holkham, or explore the grandeur of historical houses such as Royal Sandringham and Houghton Hall. A stroll through the scenic gardens of Norfolk Lavender offers a peaceful escape, while a visit to Snettisham Park allows visitors to view a unique array of deer.
