The truck's diagnosis what that the brake calipers need replacing. I dared not ask for an estimate, but we have an appointment for Friday. 👍

Well, goodness gracious, it's wine o'clock and I didn't blog.
I'm actually drinking Olé Mocktails … an alcohol-free beverage choice, one of my favourites. Olé tastes like the cocktails of the same name, sold in nearly identical cans.
In looking for a photo for you, I discovered that Amazon has these.
I got a text from the mechanics regarding my truck. The brake parts had come in and they could start any time we brought the vehicle back.
Already this morning, I had loaded trash from "out back" and unloaded at the transfer station. 👍 We delivered the truck, and then it was finished by mid afternoon. My "wallet" is $1000 lighter, but that needed to be done.
And Gary taught me that brakes make a rubbing or squealing sound long before they fail … but better to be safe anyway.
The day has really just been a blur of tasks and routines and all good things.
I traded a friend this obsolete satellite dish for the promise of two fancy young hens. It was supposed to be free, but I won't turn down pretty (girl) chickens! 😮
Another friend picked up her garlic and brought me this Blue Mountain Pottery dog. It is pricey in antique stores, and a precious gift just for the thought.
