Deb has started rehearsals for A Christmas Carol. She's directing the play.
Even though she's been busy prepping for rehearsals, now she'll be out of the home three times a week. At least!
And I'm well into rehearsals for The Game's Afoot and choir.
What does that mean?
It means for the next few weeks we won't see much of each other.
We'll be two ships passing in the night.
Or at least in the evening.
We'll see each other at bedtime.
But most of our evenings and some of our weekends are spoken for.
And if one of us gets sick, then the other one will probably sleep in a different bed.
Can't risk getting each other sick.
It's a labour of love for both of us. So, we don't mind the self-imposed absences.
Or we don't mind them too much.
It makes us appreciate our together time.
Although even our together time might be reduced. It will be dictated by the needs of our various activities.
I'll have line learning, song learning, and practice, practice, practice.
Deb will have planning, planning, planning.
But there will be down time too.
And we do it because we love it.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder, right?
