I had nightmares last night … seemed like the whole night long but was probably just a few minutes in the wee hours.
In my dream, I had gone out to get coffee for Gary and myself, took a wrong turn and was hopelessly lost. I was wandering in the seediest part of downtown in this unfamiliar city in the dream.
My phone battery was dying and I had no sense of having connected with Gary's cell. I asked someone on the street if I could use his phone, but he wanted a sexual favour for that. Ugh! No! I kept walking and suffering.
It took me ages to wake up fully, and when Gary awoke, I told him that he got credit for "saving me". He chuckled and said, "I'll take that."

Yesterday felt like a day to catch up after being away on Monday. Seriously, though, it was not that busy.
I had coffee with a friend who was selling honey for her brother, "Old McNally", in Alberta … produced by his bees.
Gary got a load of firewood while I was out visiting.
After lunch, I started to change Duke's bandages on his foot, but then a stray dog was dropped off. I got the little dude settled in.
I finished "dressing" the other dog's wound and starting clipping the toenails of both Duke and Lady. I wasn't finished that job when somebody picked up their garlic order. I had to crawl over the new heap of firewood to get to the bag of garlic.
I was back in the kennel with the labradors when a friend of the owner of the "stray" dog came to pick him up.
Can you imagine how hard it is to spring up from the floor while sitting between the two loving big dogs? Duke and Lady even tried to help as I unfolded myself and hauled my weight up the fencing beside me, dogs' tails wagging and tongues on my cheeks.
I imagine it would be amusing to watch.
Casey arrived for a short stay. I got her settled in with bedding and water dish. While Casey's owner and I chewed the fat, I got a phone call from the hot tub place with information we had requested. Gosh it seemed like a hectic hour!
At any rate, I got all the jobs done. Stray dog claimed. Duke and Lady picked up. Dinner made ✅
Chicken stew & cheese biscuits
I keep thinking that my shoulder ultrasound is today … but it's tomorrow. Good thing, because I would already be late: my appointment is at 9:30 and as you'll remember, it's an almost three hour drive.
There is highway paving going on, so one needs to allow extra time. I'll be out the door before the birdies start singing. ππ

They don't really like each other but both wanted the chair.
