Cross Fit for the Mind

The Newsletter that Changes the Minds of High Performers

Plant Shelf

The last few weeks we've talked about being open to the idea of a whole new story. A story that currently doesn't exist and has no relation to our existing story.

Where might a story like that come from, if we don't even know it exists yet?

What are you obsessed with? I have always been obsessed with sport especially team sports, especially captains, leaders and managers in team sports.

I am more interested in the story of the game, the season, the club, the country and the leader than I am the actual result.

For me, it's not about winning, it's about how you win.

I am obsessed with greatness and where it comes from. I love the All-Blacks. I don't like Man United or Kilkenny hurling but I have read books on both of them for the same reason – greatness.

I am obsessed with being a part of that story world and I have been since I was a 4-year old.

I looked up to Paul O'Connell as a sports person, both in terms of the way he played and the way he led. I just never envisioned that I could inhabit my own version of his story world one day as a player myself.

What are you obsessed with that you might become part of your new story?

Enjoying the newsletter and want a friend to sign up and answer the questions/prompts with you? You can send them this link to sign up.
