Cross Fit for the Mind

The Pedestal

Cross Fit for the Mind

The Newsletter that Changes the Minds of High Performers

Plant Shelf

Sometimes when we don't feel good enough we act in ways to prove that we are in fact good enough. This is an attempt to reduce our sense of isolation, to join the good enough gang we perceive everyone else to be in.

And often if we put in enough effort we become above average at various things.

If that were the end of the story, it would be a good one. We are now good enough. We belong. Job done.

Because the feeling of 'not good enough' persists, we continue to try and outrun it and very quickly we become leaders or at the very least teachers of the various things we've become good at.

In other words, other people have now begun to recognise us as above average in life.

What was an attempt to reduce isolation and join the collective, has now, once again - isolated us.

Have you put yourself on a pedestal? Do you wish you could get back down and be seen and known as just your good enough self?

Enjoying the newsletter and want a friend to sign up and answer the questions/prompts with you? You can send them this link to sign up.
