By end of day, Buddy had gone home, which was a relief because he never quits looking for a way to escape. He stresses, but I stay stressed too.
Watches while I repair the gate.
Storm and Lumi went home somewhat after closing time, but my treasured customers did the best they could and kept me informed. I will stay open later in the evening to save others hours of driving time, and do my best to be dressed and more or less lucid. They are "bread and butter".
Shelby and Kylie went home in mid-day, also. Other than chewing up their own bed, they were fine guests. Shelby is young and rather vocal, but hey … this is what I remain "signed up for".
Picture of innocence! Their owner mused, "I think I can sew it up …"
Henry and Tilly arrived, along with their quiet old cat, Caco.
She looks rough, but Caco seems content and free of pain. We all love her!
Hunter and Birdie came just for the day. Charlie and Eeyore are visiting for two days. Scout also came for a few days.
Birdie & HunterEeyore & Charlie Yes, Eeyore is a brother to Shelby. There were ten in the litter and several were placed locally. They are Weimaraner x Labrador.
I'd have to count on my fingers to tell you the numbers! Clyde & Marley, Brutus and Fin are also here, as is Max the parrot.
It should not surprise you that Max barks in three new voices now and occasionally yells, "QUIETTTTTTT!" in a long drawn out squawk (mimicking my squawk). Loco, my own little parrot, makes new sounds daily, and that's no wonder. She just doesn't sound as "human" as Max does.
Max
Am drinking coffee beside our own dog, who also hasn't "got going" yet today. The population at the Pet Hostel is down to a dull roar again, though I have turned down/postponed some grooming. I'm expecting another couple of guests, and others will go home. Sometimes, I can hardly do the "dog math"!
Hope your day is lovely. Pretty sure that mine will be A-OKAY … I won't be lonely.
