I know winter has started but well I am still obsessed with fall and it's flavours. This particular recipe began as a social media trend and I couldn't resist myself from baking them myself. Guess what, it turned out beautiful.
So let's get started,
Pumpkin dinner rolls
Things you will need,
Flour : 1 cup and more
Dried active yeast : 1 tbsp
Salt
Pumpkin puree : 3 tbsp
Pumpkin pie spice mix: 2 tsp
Sugar : 1/3 cup
Butter : 1/4 cup , melted
Egg : 1 , and for wash
How I made it,
Mix yeast, 1tbsp sugar in half cup of water which is warm to touch. Keep aside to bloom.
In a large bowl, mix flour, rest of sugar, salt , yeast mix, butter, pumpkin puree, and spice mix, form a nice soft dough.
Keep covered for 1-2 hours till it becomes double in size.
Knead the dough for a good 5-10 mins . Divide into 8 equal sized balls
Take a string , tie around the dough ball, to make into 6-8 pieces . Do not tighten the string.
Keep in baking tray, put egg wash.
Bake in a preheated oven at 170°c for 20-25 mins
Finish off by putting a small cinnamon stick on top.
