I'm looking forward to an afternoon poetry fest later today at the MAC (aka Memphremagog Arts Collective in Newport VT.
I don't know how many other presenters are set, but we're encouraged to read up to 3 poems (our own or someone else's) or more (if time allows).
I've selected 5 of my own; haven't yet decided what order to put them in.
Titles selected are as follows:
Fallen Away (the title piece to my chapbook, published a few years back by Finishing Line Press).
A poem about my long-term, ongoing battle with procrastination, entitled Ron.'s Honorifics Plan.
Cream-Free Bliss, which details my adoration of liquor-laced coffee.
A piece entitled Mine, recently-created & blogposted, ZOOM-shared with to some of my fellow poets from the dVerse Poets Group & which left them asking, "What the hell is that about?).
And (whatever order I present them in), I plan to close with a sonnet about having to wait for inspiration to write: Sonneteer's Failure.

I'm keeping crossed fingers for a decent & appreciative turnout such as we've had in the past & I'm very happy that My Beloved Sandra will be joining.
Maybe we'll enjoy a post-event cocktail at the East Side or The Warehouse if I don't totally embarrass myself or incite too many hecklers…
