Today is the Grand Opening of a friend's new boarding kennel. Gary and I will attend to cheer her on.
I made a cake, using "YAY YOU" as the sentiment. Easier than, "Congratulations and All the Best of Success in Your New Endeavour!".
But we all know what it means, besides, I found a congratulatory card that reads, "YAY YOU".
The cake looks like it was decorated by a child, but that's my special talent and always has been. Yay me.
It's the thought that counts. 😉
Yesterday afternoon I got wind of a retirement party planned for me! It is "set" for next Friday 1 pm at Welcome Home. All are welcome.
A friend texted Gary and asked what he thought, and it was he who suggested the venue. Then, another friend thought it was a good idea to not keep the party a secret.
Evidently it's not assumed that I am an extrovert, ie. that I would be comfortable with a crazy amount of attention. I hope that nobody was worried about my heart issues. 😉
Immediately, I was excited and will enjoy the week ahead in anticipation.
I only do a minimal amount of dog grooming now. You know me to say that I hate to play "favourites" and that is still the case, but here's one:
