Frankaborough Farm Holiday Cottages, Broadwoodwidger, Lifton, Cornwall

Frankborough Farm Holiday Cottages are a delightful collection of self-catering holiday homes located on a traditional beef, sheep, and dairy farm on the Devon/Cornwall border, just outside Broadwoodwidger. These holiday cottages are an ideal base for anyone looking to explore the beautiful West Country, offering both relaxation and easy access to the surrounding areas.

Situated on a 260-acre farm, the cottages provide a peaceful rural retreat while being only four miles from the A30, making them easily accessible. Each holiday cottage can accommodate up to six people and is equipped with modern comforts, including Smart TVs and DVD players. Guests will find beds made up with fresh bed linen on arrival, and the kitchens are fully equipped with an integrated dishwasher, fridge, microwave, and oil-fired central heating. For those who enjoy a cosy atmosphere, each cottage has a wood burner in the lounge, with logs provided. Outside, guests can relax in the garden or on the patio, which is furnished and includes a barbecue, perfect for warm summer evenings.

Frankaborough Cottage, one of the accommodations available, is a charming converted barn spread over three levels. The ground floor offers a double bedroom with an en-suite walk-in shower and a separate bathroom. The spacious lounge and dining room feature wooden floors, creating a warm and inviting environment. Two additional bedrooms are located up a short staircase, and the entire cottage is kept cosy with oil central heating, complemented by a large wood burner in the lounge.

The Old Shippen is a semi-detached barn conversion that boasts two upstairs bedrooms, one twin and one double, along with a bathroom with a shower over the bath. The open-plan kitchen and dining area comfortably seats four and is fully equipped with everything needed for a self-catering stay. The living space is warm and inviting, thanks to the oil central heating and wood burner. For added convenience, the ground floor includes a separate toilet and sink. Outside, the enclosed patio area is the perfect spot to enjoy a peaceful evening.

The Old Dairy offers similar comforts, with two upstairs bedrooms, one twin and one double, and a bathroom with a shower over the bath. The open-plan living and dining area is welcoming, while the kitchen is fully equipped for up to four guests. Like the other cottages, it benefits from oil central heating and a wood burner. A ground-floor toilet and sink provide additional convenience, and a secluded patio area outside offers a great space for relaxation.

For those seeking a more contemporary option, the I-Hut provides a modern take on a traditional shepherd hut. This well-insulated, stylish accommodation features a separate double bedroom with a wall-mounted flat-screen TV, a walk-in shower room, and a galley-style kitchen. Outside, guests can enjoy stunning views of Dartmoor from the patio, complete with a hot tub.

The Haven is a luxury studio apartment designed for a more intimate stay. It offers an open-plan living area with a double bed and a walk-in shower, as well as a modern kitchen equipped with a combination microwave mini oven, fridge freezer, and dining area. The lounge includes a small sofa bed, ideal for children.

The Retreat, a recently converted barn, is a secluded luxury cottage offering stunning views of the Devon countryside, with Dartmoor visible in the distance. This single-level property blends modern amenities with its original charm. Inside, an open-plan layout includes a double bed and a sofa bed, accommodating up to four guests. The cottage also features a fully equipped kitchen, a flat-screen TV, and a dining area with picturesque views of the nearby lake and Dartmoor.

In addition to the comfortable accommodation, Frankborough Farm offers excellent onsite facilities. Guests can take advantage of the beauty suite, which includes a spa, sauna, and gym. A range of treatments is available from the onsite therapist, including aromatherapy massage, facials, manicures, pedicures, gel and acrylic nails, contour wraps, and platinum detox treatments. For those who enjoy the outdoors, the farm grounds offer plenty of walking trails that begin right at the front door of the cottages and lead through and around the farm, providing guests with ample opportunity to explore the surrounding countryside.
