Trying to figure out WTF is going on In March 2024 I published an article titled An act of heinous treachery!. Since then, the name of the First Minister has changed. But the treachery remains the same. In that article I wrote:
As the SNP floods social media with messages urging people to vote for them in the 2026 Scottish Parliament election, it seems timely to remind everyone that the above remains true. Requesting a Section 30 order continues to be an act of heinous treachery. To advocate for this makes one complicit in the offence. To vote for it makes you an accomplice to that act of heinous treachery. Requesting a Section 30 order continues to be an act of heinous treachery. John Swinney has openly - even proudly - declared his intention to betray cause and country by denying the sovereignty of Scotland's people and endorsing the alien doctrine of parliamentary (Westminster) sovereignty.
Although he declines to be explicit, John Swinney can only be referring to yet another formal request for a Section 30 order to allow a sham 'independence referendum' which can never lead to the restoration of Scotland's independence. He intends to abase himself and disgrace the nation he represents by begging the British state's permission to make fools of pro-independence voters by having them participate in a glorified opinion poll while deceiving them into supposing they are exercising their right of self-determination. By submitting this supplication in the name of the people of Scotland, Swinney legitimises the superiority of Westminster and confirms the subordinacy of Scotland within a political union so grotesquely asymmetric as to be the effective annexation of Scotland by England-as-Britain. A Section 30 request validates this annexation. This is indisputably an act of treachery. As I write, hope is rapidly fading that Swinney can be prevented from committing this act of treachery. There now seems vanishingly little chance that the SNP conference in October will not dutifully endorse his 'strategy'. A strategy not for independence, but for treason. I finish here with the same words I used to end that earlier article.
