Cross Fit for the Mind

Likes Big & Small

Cross Fit for the Mind

The Newsletter that Changes the Minds of High Performers

Plant Shelf

A few weeks ago I gave you a long list of things I like, broad likes (rugby, surfing) and small likes (Guinness, coffee). It is important to know what these things are, but how do we start to uncover them? Try lots of things.

In the long list of likes I presented, what I didn't mention was all the things I tried that never stuck like Jiu Jitsu, Kayaking, Hiking, Theatre and Writing Groups to name a few of the myriad of things I tried, but didn't enjoy as much as the things on my 'likes' list.

The small likes are just as important as the big likes. When we start to notice small likes it means we are beginning to experience the world more in HD. Our tastes have begun to become more subtle, we are more present to our everyday experiences, we have ceased mindlessly putting the days down.

What will you try to see do you like it? There are some things you will need to try more than once before you find out. My mother used to say 5 tries, not a bad yard stick I reckon.

Next week, we're going to talk about solitude.

Enjoying the newsletter and want a friend to sign up and answer the questions/prompts with you? You can send them this link to sign up.
