FInding acceptance of a situation you don't feel happy about, are anxious about, are angry about, or fear in any way, is not easy. But, while you feel all the unhappiness, doubt, anxiety, anger and/or fear, you cannot find a way through. These feelings will hold you, and the situation, in a spiral of behaviour which is not only unhelpful, but can have negative effects on your health and wellbeing.
Before you try this exercise we recommend you have had a reasonable amount of practice of finding presence / the still point, either with your animal, or through meditation. We also recommend that you watch the videos under "Karen's Journey - The third path", on the difference between tolerance and acceptance, and the feeling of acceptance.
