I'm just over 40% of the way through my year of blogging. Originally planned to be a daily post. But modified into writing 365 posts.
Same amount of content. A little more flexibility on how it's done.
The first couple of months were difficult. I tried to hold myself to the standard of daily posting. And feeling terrible if I missed a day.
The acceptance of Mulligans or Cheat Days eased my conscience. And helped keep me on this goal.
I accepted that it was okay to miss a daily post or two.
Because I was ready to quit a few times. I had the "all or nothing" mentality. And that's not how you accomplish big things.
We all stumble. Often.
Be kind to yourself. Brush yourself up. And get back on track.
May was a good example. I ended up writing 31 posts in the month. But I missed some days and doubled up on posts other days.
I find myself in a similar situation for June. I'm about 5 posts behind.
So, with a little over a week left in the month, I will get some double day posting done.
But you know what?
If I don't do it, that's okay.
In the end, it's not important whether you reach the goal you set. It's who you become. Or how you grow. In the pursuit of the goal.
